May 14, 2026 / Equipping other effective missions with solar power
Together with SonLight Power, you are powering life-changing work in Mazatlán, Mexico, supporting hundreds of vulnerable children.
Through SonLight Power's recent expansion of Back2Back Ministries' existing solar power system at their Mazatlán site, Back2Back can now redirect thousands of dollars each month — away from utility costs, and back into what matters most:
- Caring for children
- Supporting families
- Growing their impact
Back2Back serves vulnerable children and families every day — supporting local children’s homes, operating a home for children and young adults with special needs, and running a trauma-informed school.
They’ve also built a Center for Holistic Development, providing therapies and programs designed to meet the real needs of the community.
To sustain and grow this work, reliable, affordable power is essential.
In late March 2026, SonLight Power expanded the site’s solar system:
- 90 additional solar panels
- 3 new inverters installed
- More than 56 kilowatts of new solar capacity added
Combined with the existing system, the expansion will cover nearly 100% of the campus' energy needs.
