November 26, 2025 / Year-end Giving
Our generous friends, Gary and Jane Booth, have again offered to match every gift to SonLight Power, up to $80,000, now until December 31, 2025. Watch this personal message from Gary and Jane.
GIVE LIGHT CHALLENGE: YEAR-END 2025
Your Gift Goes 2X as Far
Dear Friends,
Through SonLight Power, you harness the massive energy of the sun and the immeasurable love of the Son to transform the lives of people in need, near and far.
And, for a limited time, your gift to our year-end Give Light Challenge will DOUBLE for even greater impact thanks to an $80,000 Matching Gift from longtime supporters Jane and Gary Booth.
That’s right, now until December 31, your gift goes TWICE as far to power a mission that has transformed one million lives through the power of the sun and the Son.
This past year alone, your generosity helped 82 volunteers install 295 solar panels that are improving education, health, and livelihoods for more than 40,000 people.
Through projects in Honduras and West Africa, you brought the love and light of Jesus to people living without basic electricity. Because of you, three schools in rural Honduras have electricity for the very first time, giving children opportunities they’ve never had before.

You also brought new hope to people right here at home through projects that are equipping missions for greater impact and improving life for families in our local communities.
Still, the continuing need around the world—and here at home—is truly urgent.
Nearly a billion people live in energy poverty around the world. Without electricity, people suffer physically and spiritually. Lack of electricity keeps people from accessing education, clean water, and basic health care. Hope seems lost.
But it doesn’t have to be this way.
Will you act now while your gift will go TWICE as far to change lives through the sun and the Son? Your gift to this year’s Give Light Challenge will be matched dollar-for-dollar to fuel lasting impact in the year ahead, but only if received by December 31.

Gary and Jane Booth have been SonLight Power supporters since the beginning. They’re hopeful you’ll join hands with them now to make 2026 one of our most impactful years yet.
Gary grew up in Campton, Kentucky. He’s experienced first-hand the challenges of growing up in one of the country’s poorest areas and he’s seen the power faith, science, and technology have to change lives.

That’s why Gary and Jane have given their time and talent as SonLight Power advocates while providing generous financial support to make this work possible.
As they explain in a new video (click here to watch), the Booths see the SonLight Power mission as a galvanizing force for those eager to share the love of Jesus and make the world a better place.
They believe in the power of service and science to heal the world and create a brighter future for people living in poverty, and that’s why they’re offering to match your gift dollar-for-dollar, up to $80,000, this holiday season.
Thanks to Gary and Jane, your gift will go TWICE as far to install solar at a new technical college that will address persistent poverty and unemployment in Appalachian Kentucky by providing job training for plumbers, electricians, nurses, and new solar technicians.

Your gift today will also DOUBLE to deepen your lasting impact in Honduras, where SonLight Power’s first project was installed. Your generosity can equip twelve more schools in 2026 that currently have no access to electricity, empowering thousands of children with hope.
By giving during this year’s Give Light Challenge, you’ll also support new projects that will help meet the need for reliable, affordable electricity in Cincinnati neighborhoods.
This life-changing—and lifesaving—work is only possible through the faithful support of friends like you. Your generosity today is an investment in lasting Kingdom impact.
So, please, let your light shine this holiday season. Join the movement to transform lives through love and solar power when you send a gift that DOUBLES now.
Building a brighter future through the Son and the sun,
Kevin Sasson
Executive Director
P.S. I hope the 2025 Donor Impact Report below helps you see the awesome power of your support, which doubles during our Give Light Challenge to provide lasting solutions to poverty.

2025 DONOR IMPACT REPORT
Your support fuels a mission that has reached an estimated one million people. And with your continued support, that’s only the beginning.
Since 2002, committed SonLight Power friends like you have reached one million people in 20 countries through 284 solar projects. Your support harnesses the colossal energy of the sun and the limitless love of the Son to help people in need near and far.
2025 SONLIGHT POWER IN NUMBERS:
82 volunteers, 8 projects, 3 countries, 295 solar panels installed
40,000 PEOPLE REACHED
Highlights of the impactful stories you made possible in 2025:

In Honduras, where nearly half of people live on just $5 a day, your support turned the lights on for the very first time at three rural schools. Solar power gives children light to learn by and power for educational technology, opening up new possibilities for what they can achieve.
TOGO (West Africa):
In one of the world’s poorest countries, Youth With A Mission shares Christ’s love through ministry and service. You installed 24 solar panels, equipping YWAM with clean, renewable energy so more precious resources can be used to serve those in need.
USA | Colorado Springs, Colorado:

Your generosity created opportunities for young people to learn through service on an installation that will offset 100% of the energy needs for Engineering Ministries International (EMI). The savings will create an immense global impact, paving the way for more projects (hospitals, bridges, water systems, schools) that deliver hope to people around the world.

A new 49-panel solar array at Frederick Douglass Elementary School will save the school nearly $150,000 in energy costs—and that’s not all. The solar panels will become a key part of the school’s STEM curriculum, igniting student curiosity, enhancing learning, and offering a powerful real-life experience of renewable energy.

Shining Your Light — Projects You’ll Make Possible in 2026:
• USA | Cincinnati, Ohio: Make possible several new solar projects that will elevate childhood education, address food insecurity, and strengthen families close to home.
• USA | Campton, Kentucky: Equip a new technical college that will address persistent poverty and unemployment in Appalachia by providing job training for essential trades.
• Guatemala: Support a refuge for vulnerable children in the outskirts of Guatemala City. This solar project will defray electrical utility costs and redirect resources toward care.
• Honduras: Deepen your lasting impact in a familiar mission field by equipping 12 more remote schools, transforming thousands of lives with God’s love and solar power.
• Liberia (West Africa): Equip a mission-run children’s home and multipurpose campus with solar power to increase resiliency and save resources for wider impact.
• Togo (West Africa): Equip a mission-run hospital with solar power to save lives through increased resiliency while redirecting resources toward impact.
