Helping Other Missionaries

Part of the mission of SonLight Power is to assist missionaries and mission agencies who need solar power to function properly. Anywhere generators are being used, solar and/or wind power are possible alternatives. In any sunny area of the world it will be cheaper to use solar power. In costal regions and other windy areas, wind energy may be effective.

Solar power requires an up front investment - usually about 2 years worth of fuel bills - to retire the generator to a backup function. An example: if you are using $2,000 / month in generator fuel, you could start with 1 year investment - $24,000. Some of that will be spent on efficiency. As you save money by drastically reducing the generator run time - you can invest in more solar panels - to further reduce gen time.

We offer free design expertise, free installation help, and wholesale prices on solar power equipment - through out dealerships. Allen has designed more than 50 systems, at least half are larger systems with as much as 4KW of solar and multiple inverters, generator and/or grid interactive. He also can access multiple resources for expertise.

The first step is to read the solar education files at our link, including the design guide. A true list of loads and their electric use is the first step. E-Mail or call Allen with questions...and start the process.
